It is an amazing address. Lexington Street was once a fashionable area for the aristocracy and has been a major entertainment district in London since the 19th Century. BYREDO is located in a historic post-Georgian structure that was built in 1885. It was completely renovated by Ben Gorham, and Hallerod, a Swedish architectural design studio. The store’s interior design is reminiscent of the original New York design.

Ben Gorham, founder of BYREDO, answered a question about the opening and said:
“I ALWAYS IMAGINED BYREDO WOULD HAVE A STORE in LONDON. YOU COULD SAY THAT THIS PROJECT IS 10 YEARS IN THE MAKING.” SAID GORHAM.

BYREDO has established a Paris point of sale, strengthening its presence in Paris. BYREDO is already present at Galeries Lafayette, and has recently opened a pop up store. This demonstrates its ambition to be an outsider in the worlds of beauty, fragrances, and fashion accessories. The brand has established a strong association with Fashion Weeks in London and Paris and Ben Gorham’s natural zf connection to the world of fashion by starting in Paris and London. This is a very smart launch strategy.
